I was having a good time at my home reading books. Then I heard a noise. I rushed into my balcony and found out that the little thing my mom hanged to our roof was pushed and it fell down :'(. Sad thing is, my mom wanted to provide shelter for those little parrots my dad always fancied. So, she did it and it successfully captured any bird's dream of having a safe nest to lay it's eggs. I even saw certain species of bird's fighting for the nest. Finally one bird emerged victorious and it laid it's eggs in the perfectly comfortable hanging bowl after building a comfy nest.

The Dead sparrow and Ants eating it |
Monkeys somehow entered our balcony through some cracks and tried to catch the hanging bowl. The sound I heard was the money dropping the nest down. I know monkeys don't eat birds. And so, monkey grabbed one of the chicks and started biting it. It didn't like the chick and dropped down from at least 10 feet height. I couldn't do anything. I was extremely furious with monkeys and I called my mom with all my anger and sadness. I was surprised !
(Of course I put the other two chicks into the nest back, and placed them where they were earlier)
My mom didn't go serious about it, instead she said " Nature is resourceful and nothing will go to waste ". Though I didn't take it seriously, somehow I couldn't get over it. Then after sometime I heard crow shouting nearby and it doesn't just away. I realized it saw the dead chick that attracted the crow. Then I realized that it is no longer a dead chick, as soon as I saw the ants going for it (see the pic), it is a dead animal.
So, what exactly is the difference between a dead chick and dead animal you ask? I say, dead chick is something special, something you love, something in its status we have assigned to it. Dead animal is just another Occurrence in the Universe with its everyday ritual and a regular routine of things. That made me wonder, if Humans are the same too i.e. are Humans, like dead Osama Bin Laden, or are they just dead Living beings, like a "dead body". Then one thing dawned upon me : It is our love and affection that separates dead from living, the thing 'that lets it go' vs 'stays in forever'. So, do you think it is right to cherish our loved ones in our memories because it is our loved one, or just let them go because they are our memories and not theirs ?
